Ingredients
2/3cupsugar
1/2cupbutter, room temperature
2cupsflour
2eggs
1 1/2tspbaking powder
2tspvanilla extract
1/2tspsalt
1/2bagchocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Line or grease a cookie sheet.
Beat sugar, salt and butter until smooth. Next, add both eggs and the vanilla, beat again for a minute until dough is smooth. Then add the flour and baking powder and mix until dough is well combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. I used my hand to make sure chocolate chips were evenly spread.
Shape dough into a log, bake for about 25 minutes, being careful that the top doesn't brown.
Remove from oven and allow it too cool completely. Mine took 45 minutes.
Make 1/2 inch slices on the log, and place cookies back on the baking sheet. Bake for an additional 12 minutes on each side.
Notes
Chocolate chips can be replaced with dried fruits or nuts.
