If you’ve never made your own Cinnamon Butter, you have a special treat in store. It is so easy to blend together a few simple ingredients and wow everyone at your table.
You know exactly what I am talking about… when you sit down at a restaurant that has great, fresh bread… then reach for the butter only to take a bit and realize it is that super creamy, sweet butter that melts all over your bread…
Yep, flavored butter is a winner all the way around. We even keep savory varieties in the freezer like this shallot and herb butter. But this sweet cinnamon butter is made for pancakes and breads! (And sweet potatoes!)
How to make Cinnamon Butter
Let butter soften on the counter. Then in a small bowl, cream butter until light and fluffy.
Add your honey, cinnamon, and brown sugar and mix well.
Scoop the cinnamon butter onto a piece of plastic wrap or wax paper (about 10×10 inches). Roll up into a log shape and twist the ends. Chill in the refrigerator for about 20 min until the butter firms up.
If you prefer you can simply scoop the butter into a bowl, or form into shapes by pressing into silicone molds and chilling, then popping out of the molds before serving.
If you use this quick compound butter as often as we do, double your recipe and put half in the freezer. It makes morning pancakes really special!
Where to Use Cinnamon Butter
This sweet cinnamon butter is amazing over pumpkin pancakes or pumpkin waffles! It just screams FALL!
It is also wonderful over fresh bread. Or this fall bread that is filled with cranberries and orange zest. So good!
Or use your sweet butter over baked sweet potatoes or these peach muffins!
